From the Chapter President…

  • Welcome from WDCAC President:

    Greetings Sorors and Members of the Community!

    If you are a member of our dynamic sisterhood, we are thrilled that you have decided to renew your commitment to Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc. and join the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter (WDCAC), home to over 800 dynamic women of vision and dedication to our sisterhood. This is an exciting time to join our chapter with renewed dedication to the vision of our founders. Since the time of our chartering in 1921 we have been actively involved in providing programs in all of the five major Program Thrusts of the sorority: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Awareness and Involvement. As a new member we welcome your active participation in our committees and all of the exciting activities and programs planned for the new sorority year.

    We are also eager to have you work with us as we approach Delta’s Centennial Celebrations planned for Washington, DC in 2013. This is an exciting time for all members of our sorority but most exciting for those in the Washington, DC area who will live to speak of our history as it unfolds and how we played a vital part in highlighting the history, beauty and future of Delta as our sorority joins the Centennial Club.

    We look forward to your active participation in the chapter. Know that we are of the same cloth woven together with varying experiences to make a wonderful Delta quilt and we value the varying fabrics, textures and experiences that each individual brings to our Delta family. Please ask any member questions you may have about the chapter. Once again welcome and we are glad to have you with us on this Delta journey.
