My Cry in the Dark

The My Cry in the Dark Committee is a campaign designed to elevate awareness of the mental health disorders that African American families are facing such as anxiety disorders, anger management issues, stress management, domestic violence, depression and substance abuse.

Moreover, we seek to educate youth and families about the ethnic and racial disparities in consumers seeking mental health care treatment. The program also strives to dispel the negative stigma associated with mental health services and encourages African American youth and families to seek local, regional or national mental health resources as needed.
