Delta Dollars for ScholarsRecognizing educational achievement and encouraging the contribution of academic pursuits is one of the primary objectives of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The Washington DC Alumnae Chapter’s annual scholarship provides financial resources to graduating seniors from the Washington, DC high schools. High school seniors who display academic excellence and/or financial need and choose to attend a four year institution are awarded scholarships. The Scholarship Committee is responsible for distributing applications to public, private, charter and parochial high school seniors in Washington, DC. In addition, the committee recommends recipients for the “Delta Dollars for Scholars” scholarships. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000. Winners of Delta scholarships are presented their scholarship awards at the May Public Meeting. Current scholars can verify matriculation and request their checks using the Enrollment Verification and the Check Forwarding forms.
